Class meets in-person on Tuesdays from 6:30–8:10pm in 2N-219.

Online content will be completed using this class website. Online assignments are due by 11:59pm on Sundays.

Course Description

This course is an introduction to the study of language. It explores the following relationships: language and society; language and culture; language and thought; language and biology. For English majors and minors, this is designated as an ENH linguistics course.

NOTE: Not open to students who have already completed ENH 230.
Prerequisite: ENG 151.
Requirement Designation: Regular Liberal Arts.
